love locks and archaeology

One of the sights to see in Pécs is the wall of love locks. Since Sári was there with her boyfriend, the group was able to persuade them to get a lock. They carved their names/date onto it and locked their lock to symbolize their eternal love for each other!

We then went to Cella Septochora, an archaeological sight that is actually a UNESCO world heritage sight because the ruins date back to the Romans. Cella Septichora showcases Early Christian burial architecture and art of the north western provinces of the Roman Empire. There are several intricate paintings of people who were potentially buried there, but we cannot be sure…

Cella Septichora also had a photography exhibition of local artists. One of them was 3D, and there were glasses you could put on to see the photo in 3D!
